About Our Owner

Tamara Ignatowski

Tamara Ignatowski is the acting CEO, president, owner, and founder of Access Partners Unlimited, Inc. (APUI).

Tamara esteems and advocates for language accessibility. She has worked within the accessibility community for several years, and she founded APUI after learning first-hand what it’s like to be an advocate for loved ones. Her mother is deaf, but voices for herself and uses captioning services rather than signing. Tamara was first introduced to American Sign Language while homeschooling her five children, but ASL forged a permanent place in her heart when it became the sole method of communication for her eldest daughter as she underwent exhaustive and debilitating treatments for a rare brain cancer.

Tamara truly believes in treating others the way you want to be treated, and designed her company’s core values to reflect that.

Tamara grew up in Connecticut, but has lived in the south long enough to almost forget icy winters. She has a background in education and creative writing. She most recently earned a degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University, and graduated as valedictorian. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for more than three decades and has five children and a dog that keep her busy. When not at work, she’s probably reading a good book or playing board games with her family.
